Appliance Moving Prague – Washing Machine, Fridge, Dishwasher and More

Large domestic appliances are heavy, awkward, and surprisingly easy to damage if handled without the right technique. Moving a washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, or cooker is not just a matter of muscle – it is about knowing the correct disconnection procedure, how to protect the appliance during transport, and how to set it up correctly at the other end. BeeClean handles all of this in Prague.

Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer

A washing machine must be secured with transit bolts before it is moved. Without them the drum can shift on the suspension rods and cause permanent damage. If you no longer have the original bolts, let us know in advance – we can often source replacements or use an alternative securing method. We disconnect the hoses carefully, catch residual water, and use a stair-climbing dolly for staircases. On arrival we level the machine properly so it does not vibrate during the spin cycle.

Fridge and Freezer

A fridge must be defrosted and completely dry before moving – residual moisture can corrode the compressor area and cause leaks en route. After the move, wait at least four hours before switching it on so the compressor oil can settle back. We always transport fridges upright – never on their side, which can cause permanent compressor failure.

Dishwasher

We disconnect the water supply and drain hose and seal them for transport. If the dishwasher is built in, we discuss panel removal with you first. The door glass and control panel are protected against impact during the move.

Cooker and Oven

Gas cookers must be disconnected by a certified gas engineer – this is not something we do ourselves, but we can recommend a qualified professional if you need one. Electric cookers we disconnect without issue. The oven is packed separately; racks and trays travel in a padded box.

• Set of appliances (washing machine + fridge + dishwasher): from 2,800 CZK

Price includes protection wrapping, transport, and basic installation at the destination (levelling, hose connection). Electricians and gas engineers are arranged separately.

Do I Need to Disconnect the Appliance Before You Arrive?

No – disconnection is part of our service. The only thing we ask is that the fridge is defrosted in advance, since we cannot do that on the day. We will remind you of this when you book.
